Woke up with every intention to get some work done, until I went outside. It was just too beautiful of a day to spend inside so Aaron and I decided to take a break from work and do something fun. We headed for San Diego. We didn’t have anything planned, just started driving to see where we’d end up. When we got close to Oceanside we remembered that Bob Burnquist had an organic farm in Vista, so with our trusty iPhone we Google Mapped it and headed down the 78 for his place. When we came upon his address, it wasnt quite what either of us had imagined. We saw his house through the gate but we surely didn’t see any trace of a lush farm. However we were able to see his impressive skate park and snagged a few pics.
I think its safe to safe that you’re a fool if you don’t get a burrito while in san diego. We hit up the Roberto’s at Torrey Pines Beach, one of my favorite spots when I lived in SD. It was crowded with locals as usual. We got huge burritos full of beans, rice, bell peppers, onions, potatoes, guacamole and salsa ( and lots of red & green sauce). So bomb. The rest of the day we spent chillin at the cliffs above Blacks, checking out the UCSD campus, saving lives, and hitting up vintage and second hand stores on the 101. All in all, a great day that will be remembered.
